Dr. Dean Liougas
Dr. Dean Liougas received his DDS degree at Columbia University in New York City, and his Honours BSc at the University of Toronto in high standing where he majored in Neuroscience and Integrative Biology. He was inducted into the Golden Key Honour Society and received an academic average of 98th percentile on the Dental Aptitude Test. Subsequently, he was an extern at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan, and volunteered for Smile Train Charity and Give Kids A Smile.
He currently is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and regularly attends the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club. He has certification for oral sedation and has received training for bone graft placement.
Dr. Liougas is particularly interested in aesthetic work involving veneers, crowns, and bridges, and has Invisalign certification.
Dr. Nazanin Shahmolky
Dr. Nazanin Shahmolky, B.Sc., M.Sc., D.D.S. is a 2001 graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, where she later completed a three-year part-time certificate program in Biomaterials and Implantology. Prior to her dental studies, she obtained an M.Sc. in Biochemistry at the University at Toronto and a B.Sc. in Human Biology at the University of Utah. She is a member of both the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association.
Dr. Shahmolky’s patient philosophy emphasizes prevention through regular check-ups and teeth cleaning. The downtown Toronto dentist offers a full range of services, including dental hygiene, fillings, crowns, bridges, dental implants and emergency dentistry.
Dr. Anam Hann
Dr. Anam Hann completed her DDS degree from the University of Toronto with Honours. She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice focused on family and pediatric dentistry, at a hospital trauma/emergency centre, and has also rotated at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto treating patients with special needs. She is now bringing her unique brand of infectious enthusiasm to the team at Adelaide Dental. In dealing with patients, Dr. Hann always aims for a ‘no surprises’ experience. She is keen on comprehensive treatment planning with preventative dentistry in mind. In her view, the dentist-patient relationship needs to be a partnership based on trust. She invests time upfront in conducting a comprehensive patient examination and explains treatment options to patients so they can make well informed and critical decisions about their oral health. Dr. Hann has two young kids and a husband who keep her busy when she isn’t at work.
Dr. Richard Wohl
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1980, Dr. Richard Wohl attended the University of Western Ontario where he received his D.D.S. degree in 1984. After many years of general practice, Dr. Wohl now limits his practice to the area he is most proficient in – dental surgery (the removal of impacted wisdom teeth and complicated extractions). Dr. Wohl ensures that the patient is made as comfortable as possible for all procedures.
